CLASSIC MUSIC CRUSH. And a place for lunch too.
About the Philharmonie Luxembourg I’ve already talked last summer - as an architectural landmark of the city, as a place for high quality concerts on an international level as well as a spot for fine dining thanks to the stylish Tempo Bar où Manger. But there’s one more thing to mention for fans of classic music who are gourmets at the same time. A quite fabulous way to even spend your lunch break with both good music and good food is a format that has already been there for a while (and you might know it from other metropolises too) but maybe you haven’t tried it yet: The lunch concerts. 30 minutes of public rehearsal with the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg combined with the delicious dishes by Cocottes. Once per month this very special offer is provided at 12:30 p.m. - for free! Check out on the program on Philharmonie.lu and pamper your senses either during a hard working day in the office or your visit in our charming Grand-Duchy as a tourist. Reservations are not possible, just show up a bit ahead of time. The next lunch concert is planned for March 13th with pianist Olga Scheps, and Wagner’s “Götterdämmerung” will be given on May 2nd - a must for opera lovers!
Other than that upcoming highlights are undoubtedly the traditional visit of the London Symphony Orchestra directed by Sir Simon Rattle on February 24th and the Jazz Pianist Chilly Gonzales’ show on March 3rd.
