THEATRE LUXEMBOURG. THE GRAND.
The Grand Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg was designed by the French architect and sculptor Alain Bourbonnais in a style typical of the 1960s. A true feast for eyes, ears, well, all senses! On the theater's agenda, lovers of performing art find contemporary dance choreographed by ballet legends like Pina Bausch or living masters like Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, theater pieces and even opera performances (e.g. Un ballo in maschera by Verdi in the current season of 2018). And the next door Brasserie Schumann is without a doubt tastefully furnished and decorated brasseries, with a lovely terrace for spring and summer and a homelike chalet in wintertime where you can dine and enjoy drinks not only before and after your theater visit. Recommendable all year round - though it might be overall a bit overpriced.
