CULTURANDO. TRULY ITALIAN CUISINE AND A SECOND HOME...
On Avenue de la Faiencerie in Limpertsberg, one of the most beautiful districts in Luxembourg City, just a few steps away from the art movie theater Utopia and the parking Glacis you find the best Italian restaurant with truly authentic cuisine: Culturando. Family owned and run by Dario Notaroberto (the son of Mario Notaroberto, who founded the famous restaurant "Dal Notaro" in Clausen with the best pizza in town), this place will make you come back again and again. It became my second home, food and family wise!
The menu changes daily (along the fresh deliveries they have just received from Italy) and is presented by Dario and his team orally. A choice of a well selected starters, mains and desserts always include fresh pasta dishes, vegetarian options, fish and meat plates and typical "dolci" such as home made tiramisù or panna cotta. No matter if you are having a burrata, a tagliata di tonno or manzo, spaghetti alle vongole or a carpaccio, the Italian chef (most of the time it will be Salvatore) will create a perfect, yet unpretentious dish that indulges you with authentic tastes. Especially guests who have traveled to Italy a few times and were eating out at original places, will feel like being back in this beautiful county at least for an hour or two. The wine list is long and coming from their own Enoteca, located in Foetz, 11 Rue Jean-Pierre Bicheler, near Esch-sûr-Alzette, where you can shop yourself like in Italy (cheese, biscotti, olive oil... probably anything!). During the holiday season you can even buy Panettone from a family manufactory in Sicily and bring it home as a gift. You will be hailed as a hero, sicuramente!
Opening hours are from Monday through Friday around lunchtime and at night from 7 p.m. on until 11 p.m. Dal Notaro is open during the weekends too and meanwhile run by Livio Notaroberto by the way. So, it's a family affair and you are either way in good hands. Promised!
